Welcome to AskSangat: a unique Panthic platform that honors the Sikh tradition of seeking guidance and knowledge from experienced Sangat while respecting the values of non-judgment and anonymity for both those seeking answers and those providing Seva.
We recognize that some questions are deeply personal and/or may involve sensitive topics. We also recognize that sometimes even sharing a question or seeking to understand an experience may produce homai in the inquirer. Thus, to provide a safe space for honest and heartfelt exploration while safeguarding each individual's Sikhi, AskSangat empowers individuals to ask questions anonymously.
Keeping Seva (service) gupt (confidential) is a core principle of Sikhi and helps keep Sevadaara in humility. AskSangat therefore empowers Gursikhs to provide guidance without revealing personal identities.
Submit a question on any Sikhi-related topic (e.g. spirituality, youth issues, Maryada, etc.) that is aligned with our Community Guidelines. If the question is urgent/time sensitive, please click the .
AskSangat will try to assign the question to the most suitable Gursikh Sevadaar. All Sevadaara are committed to following and propagating Pure Gurmat (Tat Gurmat) and the Panthic Sikh Rehat Maryada sanctioned by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
The assigned Sevadaar will formulate an answer in alignment with Sikh principles and values as provided in the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Bhai Gurdaas Ji’s Vaaran, Bhai Nand Lal Singh Ji’s writings, Rehit Maryada, and Sikh Ithiaas.
